BARCODE is a free game that runs as a Telegram Mini App. This policy explains what data the game receives, why it is needed and how it is stored. It also covers the barcode3d.com website.
What we collect
When you open the game, Telegram passes us your basic account data. We store only:
- Telegram user ID — identifies your save file;
- first name and username — shown on the leaderboard and on your profile card (hidden by default: privacy in the game settings keeps the name off, and it is revealed only if you choose to);
- game progress — runs, score, gems, unlocked items, achievements, battle pass and tournament results;
- technical events — run start/finish, purchases of in-game items for in-game currency, errors. Used for balancing and abuse detection.
We do not collect your phone number, email, contacts, messages, location or payment details. We do not use third-party advertising networks, and the game itself has no analytics counters. Statistics on the website are described below.
Why we need it
- to keep your progress across devices and sessions;
- to build the seasonal leaderboard and weekly tournaments;
- to verify runs server-side and block cheating;
- to balance the game using aggregated statistics.
Leaderboard visibility
Your best score appears on the public leaderboard inside the game, and your name is hidden by default — the row shows anonymously. You can reveal your username in the game settings and hide it again at any time.
Storage and sharing
Data is stored on the servers of a cloud provider used by the game and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties. It is accessible only to the game developer and only for the purposes above. Raw gameplay logs used for cheat verification are deleted automatically after 7 days.
Website statistics
The barcode3d.com website uses the Yandex Metrica counter, and it starts only after you press “Accept” in the cookie notice. Until then the counter is not loaded and no cookies are set, apart from the browser storage that remembers your language and theme.
When the counter is on, it records anonymous data about the visit: the pages you open, the site or search engine you came from, your language, browser and screen size, and the approximate city based on your IP address. Yandex Metrica processes this data on our behalf and keeps it on its own servers, and we see aggregated reports only. Sessions may be recorded by Webvisor, which captures page views and clicks, not what you type into forms.
This data is not linked to your game account and is not used to identify you. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookies” button at the bottom of any page, and you can block trackers in your browser as well.
Deleting your data
Write to @pen1suela in Telegram and ask to delete your account — your profile and progress will be removed within 7 days. This action is irreversible.
Children
The game contains no gambling, no real-money trading and no user-generated chat. It follows Telegram's rules for Mini Apps.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
