How to play

BARCODE runs inside Telegram, so there is nothing to install and nowhere to sign up. From the link to the first wave takes about ten seconds.

1. 01

   Open the game in Telegram

   The link opens the bot, and the button starts the game right inside the app. It works the same on a phone and in Telegram Desktop.

2. 02

   Pick a character

   There are fourteen heroes, each with an ability of their own. The wanderer is the easiest first pick, the rest unlock as you play.

3. 03

   Keep your distance

   You only move, there is no shooting. The weapon hits the nearest enemy by itself, so what matters is where you stand and where you can step away to.

4. 04

   Collect and upgrade

   Baskets hold gold and experience. Every time you gain a level the game offers a choice of upgrade, and those choices add up to your build for the run.

5. 05

   Ride up

   A run is three floors. You take the lift between them, and at the end you get a receipt with everything the shift brought in.

Worth knowing

• Crowned enemies are bigger and tougher than usual ones, but they also give more experience.
• The tournament runs on a shared seed and a shared character, so it comes down to skill and not luck.
• Diamonds do not burn after a run: they stay with you and go into your overall progress.
